Whistler, B.C.

My mom treated us to a trip to Whistler (one of her fav places). Pablo had never been there before and she wanted to share it with him. We were there for 4 days and did some fun activities like downhill mountain biking and hiking. Pablo is really into mountain biking so I thought he would really enjoy experiencing one of the best places to mountain bike and he did!
Our first stop on the way up was at Shannon Falls

My mom spoiled us by getting a room at the Pan Pacific so we have a perfect view of the mountain and the village.

The first two days we spent our days basically eating and drinking our way around the village.

The third day of the trip Pablo geared up for his day of mountain biking. He had never done this type of mountain biking before so all the gear and type of bike were a whole new world. He'd never been on a ski lift either so this was a real adventure!
Got all the gear and ready to go
He made it on the lift (he is on the right)
Whistler has many bears that roam around the ski hill in the summer months so it was no surprise that Pablo ran across a few during the day. The highlight was when he saw a baby and mama bear hanging out near the trail he was going down. He stopped to watch and luckily they are so used to people he was able to watch them for a couple minutes until they walked away.
He saw a bear from the chair lift

He bought the all-day pass which was 8 hours of biking but even after a lunch break with us at the Longhorn he couldn't make it all day. His hands were in pain from breaking along with the rest of his body. It was a real workout! But he had a lot of fun.
