Saturday we woke up bright and early for a walking tour of Zaragoza. We went to the palace called the Aljafaria which has great Arab architecture. Then we walked across the longest river in Spain called the Ebro and walked down to the famous cathedral, El Pilar. There we took a tour of the smaller cathedral El Seo and then headed into the Pilar. The coolest part about El Pilar is that there are still two holes in the ceiling where two bombs went through during the civil war. But luckily they didn't go off and they are now hanging on the wall.
That evening we had an amazing dinner at a Brazilian restaurant and then headed back out for some more drinks and dancing. But after a long day of touring we were pretty tired so we headed back early. Sunday we had a nice breakfast at home and then went out for some more tapas for lunch. Around 5 pm we caught the train home. It was a nice weekend to get away from Madrid, explore a new place and hang out with just the girls.
