Weekend in La Rioja

What does my mom like that Spain has a lot of?? WINE! So while she was here we had to take a trip to the most famous Spanish wine region- La Rioja.
We decided to make it a super family weekend and invited Pablo's parents too because it was Pepo's birthday and father's day. Our main base was the town of LogroƱo. It is famous for a narrow street lined with bars and good tapas, Calle Laurel. Then we took day trips to visit the town of Laguardia- super cute town on top of a hill and surrounded by a wall,  and other wineries. Even though Pablo got sick the first day and wasn't functioning we managed to have a good time.

Mom is in town!

And she bought us a WEBER!!! Our terrace just got a whole lot cooler and our summer is going to be a lot more fun. We are now even more American than ever! :) Mom spoils us to no end and we love her! We had a great time with her here for three weeks even if she was pretty bored most of the time! She wouldn't stop cleaning, doing wash, ironing and cooking and it made us feel really guilty but we appreciated every moment.
Pablo is so happy
First night steaks
Then hamburgers
Then chicken
And finally hot dogs!
