Pozo de Urama

We spent the weekend in Pozo de Urama, population 35, in the state of Castile-Leon. Our friend Jorge and his family has a vacation home there and he invited us and another couple up for the weekend. It is about a 3 hour drive from Madrid and is surrounded by flat, farmland and not much else. This town doesn't have any stores and one community bar with no bartender- it works on the honor system....my kind of place!
It was nice to get away from the city and just relax, eat, drink, play games and enjoy the sun.

Hanging out in the back yard

BBQ

Bodegas- caves built into the hill side to keep wine cool

Jorge's bodega has sidra of course

Plaza Mayor next to the Pozo (well)

Town Bar

This is really hard
