El Puerto de Santa Maria

Beach time! After two days of heat we were ready to just go to the beach! I planned for us to go to El Puerto de Santa Maria which is on the Atlantic ocean and just north of the bigger and more popular town of Cadiz. It is a small fishing town that has a lot of Brandy factories and wineries. Once again we drove in looking for a hotel and luckily the first one on the list was available, cheap, with free breakfast and very nice. Once we checked in we changed and headed straight to the beach. We drove to this beach near by with our newly purchased beach chairs and cooler, found our spot in the sand and spent the entire day there. Being on the Atlantic it is known for being windy so we had wind all day but luckily it was hot enough that we could still lay out and not get too cold. Pablo and I braved the surf for a little swimming and even walked down to watch the kite-surfers.
