CaniCross Trillo

We had a great family day participating in our first Canicross race in Trillo. It was an unseasonably warm fall morning in a beautiful, tiny town, perfect for the race. First daddy ran his race with Goonie and did great. Then mommy suffered through her 1 km race....hey I'm out of shape and prego so I think I have an excuse!! Then Gabriela ran her second Canicross race participating in the junior race. She maintained a slow but steady pace and crossed the finish line with applause from the crowd. Poor Goonie had to run all three races but he did great. Being around all the dogs helps him relax and not be so afraid of all the people.
We all had fun and it was great to do it all together as a family. The best part was they gave all the kids who participated in the junior race a medal during the awards ceremony. So Gabriela got to go with all the kids and get her medal. She was so proud.
