Alkie Update

Our little Prince
It has been a little over a month since we adopted our little boy and he has adjusted quite well to the family. He is now very comfortable with us and the house and has shown his personality and attitude. He is a very young 4 year old, with a lot of energy. He must play a couple hours a day or he becomes a terror. Therefore, I drag around the house a string as I do my chores and he chases it all around the house. He is a sprinter and jumper and is very athletic with some pretty big muscles. He is also a big fan of wine corks and paper bags. Along with his own tail- he bites it. No need to buy fancy toys for this boy!
Alkie has become my shadow and follows me everywhere. His favorite place is the bathroom and I rarely go in private. He sleeps with us at night at our feet but has started to eat my hair in the middle of the night so we are going to have to change this behavior. He also sleeps in the weirdest positions that is always making us laugh. We wonder how comfortable he really is?
We drove to Asturias this past weekend to visit the new grandparents and aunt- 4 hours in the car- and Alkie did great. He meowed on and off for about the first 2 hours and then fell asleep and was fine after that. And he walks right into his carrying cage as well.

His favorite toy- paper bag
He is really long- like his parents
He does have a bad habit of clawing the couch and still hasn't figured out how to use the scratching posts so we are working on that. He doesn't really listen to me when I try to scold him but he listens to Pablo as he is a lot harsher than I am but it works and Alkie isn't too scared as he still gives Pablo loves and belly massages
He has been a wonderful addition to the family and we love him to death. He fulfills his duty of being my companion and gives his mom and dad a lot of love. He even let his daddy cut all his nails today without much trouble. Amazing!
