I ran an all women's race this year through the streets of Madrid. A friend, whom we met at the dog park and is from Corvallis of all places, asked me if I wanted to run and even though I'm totally lazy I couldn't think of a good excuse so I signed up! 30,000 women all wearing neon pink "running" through Madrid, it was quite the experience. In reality they were all WALKING!! It was impossible to run but we maintained a trot zig zagging through all the people. It was crazy but it was a pretty easy 7 km (4 miles). It was a nice sunny day and not too hot. We had a good time and I'm glad I did it.
