Our lil lady is changing quite fast these days. She is starting to stand more and more on her own, if only for a few seconds or until she realizes she isn't holding on to anything. She has even managed one little step. Our days are numbered. She is also learning to climb and loves to try and pull herself up on the couch and has done it twice.
Finally, finally! her first tooth came in and now it feels like it will take years for the rest to show up. This is a long process. Her eating comes and goes but we have a few tricks to open that mouth which include giving her the top to her food container, which for some reason she wants to have, but it automatically opens up her mouth. Desperate times call for desperate measures. This is probably not how you are supposed to feed your child but hey, it gets the food in. We have just introduced plain yogurt into the mix and she loves it! She can eat a whole one by herself. But her favorite food is bread and crackers. She is quite a good chewer without teeth.
In her spare time she loves to read books. We started reading every night before bed and she is actually interested in the books and is practicing turning the pages. She loves to take everything out of drawers, especially clothes and then crawl around with them in her hands getting them all dirty. She loves playing chase with Alkie and petting Goonie along with sitting out on the little balcony with him. We take walks everyday and she loves to look at everyone and everything as we walk through the neighborhood. We found a baby swing in her neighborhood and she loves to swing.
In my opinion she says ball and duck. She doesn't pronounce the L or CK very well but she knows what I'm saying when I ask here where is duck!
