Goonie finally made it to Asturias to visit his papa's homeland. At first we weren't sure if he'd ever make it up because grandma had issues having a dog in her house. But after careful persuasion by Pablo, grandma finally gave in and we took a long weekend to visit the family.
Our Goonie is from Madrid born and raised and the first 5 years of his life are a mystery to us so we don't know what he has experienced. So when we were in Asturias we decided to go to the beach to see if the land-locked dog had ever seen water. We took him to a nearby beach and let him loose and he took off running because he LOVES to run. He is part greyhound you know! He loved the water and jumped in with no fear (aka he has seen water before). He had a great time running everywhere and we had a great time watching him.
