Pablo has recently started volunteering at the animal shelter where we found Alkie, ANAA. Pablo has always loved animals especially dogs and for a long time has been looking for a place where he could work with animals- mostly dogs! Long before we adopted Alkie, Pablo was researching different shelters around Madrid where he could volunteer and where we could possibly adopt. We were lucky to find such a great organization in ANAA because we found Alkie there but also in the fact is a very professional and well-ran organization. Pablo signed up to be a volunteer months ago and about a month back finally heard from them and was signed up a weekend seminar for new volunteers.
Pablo loves working for them and feels they are doing a great job with the animals. They are a no kill shelter so they always have a lot of animals but also great facilities with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas for both dogs and cats. Here is the link to their website http://www.anaaweb.org/
Because of his work schedule Pablo has the opportunity to go quite often to the shelter and help them out and learn the ropes. Every time he comes home after a day there he is filled with stories about all the animals and he has developed a crush on at least two or three. I think one of these days he is going to come home with another dog or cat.
