Pool Day

The weather is finally sunny and warm in Madrid and that means pool season has begun!! Pablo loves swimming and since day one he has been in charge of giving Gabriela a bath. But really bath time has been training for swimming time. Pablo is making sure that Gabriela isn't afraid of the water and will be a good swimmer one day. It is his dream!
So when the time was right, a friend of ours invited us over to use her pool. Pablo was so excited it was like Christmas. Because it was a last minute plan we didn't have anything for Gabriela to swim in so Pablo researched and found a swim floaty for babies. Before heading to the pool we made a stop at Babies R Us to purchase the floaty. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the swim diapers so she was going to go in her normal diaper. It didn't matter though.
Pablo rips open the floaty, blows it up, straps in on Gabriela and off they go to the pool. Our doctor warned us that babies don't like the pool as much as baths because the water was cold. But Pablo was confident his little girl was going to love it. Gabriela's first reaction wasn't crying but whimpering because the water was cold. But little by little she got used to the water and let daddy push her all around. Daddy was so proud!
