Las Presillas in Rascafria

On Saturday we escaped the heat in the city and headed to the mountains to spend the day at the river. This river is a little different than a regular river because they have built 4 pools that the river runs through. The pools cascade down just like the river and it is a very pretty place.
We arrived early to get a good spot and set up camp- towels laid out, sunscreen on and coolers full of beer and food. We spent the whole day there hanging out, eating, drinking, playing cards and relaxing. The water was freezing since it mountain run off but it was refreshing! It was a great place and I'm glad we have a place to run to when the weather gets hot and we can't stand the pollution and heat any longer! Around 5 pm we watched the coulds roll in over the nearby mountains and there was a big thunder and lightening show. But lucky for us the rain never made it to us!
